New Kit Unveiled!

With a new season approaching it was perhaps inevitable that there would be the unveiling of a new kit.

Yesterday United were showing off the brand new home kit for next season, a version made by Nike that includes the crest of CHEVROLET, our new sponsors.

It`s thought that this kit will be the last made by Nike as the sportswear firm have decided not to match the offers, supposedly, coming United`s way with regards to kit manufacture next season, a fact borne out by a comment attributed to a Nike source who has remarked,

"It doesn`t make commercial sense."

Maybe not, but what is your verdict on the new home shirt?

I don't get the polo top button without the collar design, looks a bit odd to me. To be honest it's not the calamity previous kits have been but at the same time I still wouldn't call it a nice kit either. Oh well it's not like it effects me anyway, since getting the commemerative 40th anniversary jersey I've shied away from splashing out 80 annually.

As for Nike they're saying it doesn't make sense now but we all know they'll be trying to get us to re-sign with them when the upcoming manufacturer deal, whomeever it is, expires. To be honest I couldn't really care, their kits have been a shambles recently and either Warrior or Adidas seem interested and willing to pay.
