Van Gaal Keen to Get Started

As Holland march on in the World Cup it would appear that our new boss, Louis van Gaal, is keen to get started at Old Trafford.

Last night, over in Brazil, van Gaal played his 'Get out of Jail Free` card to keep the Dutch in the World Cup. Trailing to second half goal from Mexico it all looked dead and buried as the game entered its final stages.

However, a late corner headed back to Wesley Sneijder on the edge of the box saw the one-time (reportedly) United target, lash home a shot into the bottom corner and then deep into stoppage time Arjen Robben earned a spot kick that van Huntelaar buried.

It certainly was cruel on a Mexican team that more than, at times, matched Holland but Van Gaal showed that he appears to be one of those rare breed of managers that 'Lady Luck` smiles on and a manager that success seems to follow.

But, returning to the crux of the article, it appears that the Dutchman is so keen to get started at Old Trafford that he`s prepared to forsake the traditional post-World Cup holiday, something that clearly shows Van Gaal is ready to make his mark in the Premier League.

He's skipping his holiday? Good to see he's not making the same mistake Dithering Dave made and is looking to get started ASAP.

Having watched and continuing to watch the miracles Van Gaal is producing with a comparitively weak dutch side next season is an exciting prospect for us United fans. He's got the best out of a squad made up largely of average players, hot prospects and a couple of world beaters, pretty much a mirror of our United side in recent years. Van Gaal hasn't got a choice in who's available to him for Holland but for United he has and hopefully with him at the helm those days of mediocrity are past us and we can recruit the calibre of player a club of our stature should be boasting in abundance.
