Dutch Midfielder Linked!

Dutch Midfielder Linked!

One name being promoted as a possible signing for Manchester United this summer is a familiar name.

The Italian news agency, Tuttosport, is inferring that Louis Van Gaal is more than interested in bringing one of his talented Dutch national squad to Old Trafford.

The player in question is the 29 year-old midfielder Nigel de Jong who is currently on the books of the Italian side AC Milan.

A fee of £6 million is quoted although we`ll remain sceptical until we hear anything from the British media.

But, is Nigel de Jong a player you feel will improve our squad?

Na that's alright ta, you can stay at AC. If you're not good enough for City then you're certainly not good enough for United. Fact is we need midfielders that can actually play football, not a thug who has made a career off of injuring footballers.

The earlier links to Depay though I wouldn't mind. He turned the game in Hollands favour when he came on against Australia and just finished Chile off tonight. He's got everything we're lacking on that left wing at the moment and after the predictable and outright boring wing play of last season it would be refreshing to see the flare, confidence, directness and unpredictability of Depay to go alongside Januzaj's flare, confidence, directness and unpredictability.

Indi looks like a calm and composed presence, something we lacked last season whilst De Vriij is a rock at the back. I've been massively impressed with the Dutch and am really looking forward to seeing Van Gaal work and hopefully bringing in some of the bright sparks of his current Dutch contingency.
