Sneijder Begs For United Move?

One of the outstanding sides of the 2014 World Cup so far has been Holland.

To United supporters that statement is music to our ears with the Dutch being coached by our new manager Louis van Gaal.

The feeling in the air is that Van Gaal could do worse than bring several of his talented Dutch squad to Old Trafford and one of his current stars, Wesley Sneidjer, appears to be making a plea to join his national coach at Old Trafford with the 30 year-old remarking to the media,

"Van Gaal is like the head of a school. Not everyone is lucky enough to get into his good books."

"I am happy at Galatasaray."

However, if Van Gaal were to make me an offer, I would have to at least consider it. Nobody from the Netherlands can simply reject Van Gaal."

I fear it may be wishful thinking on Sneidjer`s behalf as I feel if van Gaal is to bring any of his Dutch squad to old Trafford it is more than likely to be the younger element.

Should've known this gem would've popped up again. So, apparently we've been after Sneijder since his Madrid days yet have had the opportunity to sign him from both Inter and Madrid but vetoed both times. Now, unless I'm missing something, to me it doesn't look like we're really interested in him at all. It appears to me as if the only people who genuinely believe we're after Sneijder is Sneijder and his representatives themselves and the media.

Sorry Wes but I imagine this latest round of rumours and speculation will end very much like the last round. No doubt Van Gaal will be more interested in signing some young Dutch talent in positions that need strengthening than a Sneijder who looks nowhere near the player he was 2-3 years ago, has a poor injury record and who's best position is already well covered by Rooney, Kagawa and Mata.
