A Khedira Bid?

With Louis van Gaal directing operation for Holland, over in Brazil, at the World Cup, it is hoped that his instructions relating to transfer targets are being adhered to by the suited gentlemen behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

If so, then if newspaper speculation is correct then Manchester United could be set to make a bid for the Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

It`s being reported that the 27 year-old German international has been told by Real Madrid that he is surplus to requirements and can leave.

Such a statement will, no doubt, have alerted our Premier League rivals to his availability and we suspect that Arsenal and Chelsea could also be about to declare their hands.

A move to ponder over and wait for further news methinks!

If it's the 40 mil that was being touted before then no chance. Khedira is good but never that good and, for me at least, lacks the skill range to ever put him in that price range. I don't feel we really need Khedira and can't see the point in splashing out on a box-to-box midfielder when we have Fellaini who hasn't been given a fair crack at the whip. Money should be invested in other departments first and foremost, here's a few suggestions if Woodward is struggling: Shaw, Rodriguez, Moreno or Sandro for the LB position. Indi, Mangala or De Vriij for the CB position. Depay, Griezmann, Konoplyanka or, if you don't mind waiting a season, Reus for the wing.
