Transfer Targets

Transfer Targets

A quartet for your consideration!

With Louis Van Gaal somewhat side-tracked with the small matter of Holland and the World Cup to consider, I`d guess any protracted transfer activity, at Old Trafford, is being conducted by the suited gentlemen within the walls.

This morning the tabloid press have been quick in suggesting potential targets that Louis Van Gaal may have instructed the board to pursue and the names in the frae are:-

• Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord)
• Eliaquim Mangala (FC Porto)
• Fernando (FC Porto)
• Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund)

Which of these four tickle your fancy?

Don't see why we would be in for Fernando. Don't see why we should be in for any holding mid at all to be brutally honest, if Van Gaal wants a combative midfield at least try and get the best out of Fellaini first, if anyone can do it it's him.

Of the centre backs I'd think you'd be mad to say anyone but Hummels but realistically it won't happen. Hummels isn't exactly keen on leaving, obviously that tune typically changes when actual interest is shown, whilst Dortmund, like they did with Lewandowski, won't sell and will probably force him to see out his contract at the very least. Of the other two both are very good defenders and reflect the same sort of buy, one with something to offer now but is predominately for the future, either, or alternatively Indi, would do.
