Van Persie in Good Form

As the World Cup, in Brazil, draws ever nearer, we might be excused from focussing more than we normally would on the Dutch side, after all it is coached by our new manager - Louis van Gaal.

Last night Holland continued their build-up for the 2014 World Cup Finals by taking on Ghana in a friendly.

The Dutch side won 1-0 thanks to an early goal, a goal scored by our own Robin van Persie, when the striker finished off a move involving two former, reportedly, United targets in Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneidjer.

The goal made it two in two for Van Persie and afterwards Louis van Gaal had this to say about the performance,

"We gave away absolutely nothing."

"It will only get better. We`ve only just started."

In Brazil 2014, Holland are in Group B along with Spain, Chile and Australia with the opening match being a repeat of the 2010 World Cup Final.

Chile are a dark horse in that group, it wouldn't surprised me to see them shock one of Holland or Spain and edge them out of the tournament.
