United Interested in Dutch Duo

The grapevine, this morning, intimates that Louis van Gaal has his eyes on bringing two of the young Dutch stars in his World Cup squad.

It would seem that van Gaal is of the belief that Jordy Classie and Bruno Martins Indi would be beneficial when it comes to improving our current squad.

However, the insinuation is also there that van Gaal, in his capacity of Dutch coach, is wary of using his position to poach the pair from Feyenoord.

Therefore, in summary, it`s being championed that Manchester united will be paying close attention to the duo in the forthcoming World Cup with a view to trying to get Feyenoord to part with the players for a combined fee said to be, somewhere, in the region of 20 million when the 2014 World Cup is over!

Don't really know what to make of this rumour to be honest. 20 mil for the pair isn't bad business considering Bruno Martins Indi in particular looks to have the makings of a great defender. Classie though i'm not entirely sold on, he's good yeah but doesn't look like that much of an improvement on what we've already got first team-wise, depth wise though i'd be happy. With some of the talent coming through for the Holland national team and from the eredivisie in general I'd be shocked if that wasn't Van Gaals hunting ground for the coming season.

We'll probably be lining up a lot of Dutch players this window. Van Gaal's scout network would have been focused on nothing but Dutch players for the national squad. Next window there may be a bit of more an international feel to the targets as the scouts get back into a club mentally
