Robben`s Not Coming!

Robben`s Not Coming!

The quest to reinforce the ranks at Old Trafford continues to stumble along rather alarmingly.

Hot-on-the-heels of the Bayern Munich midfielder, Toni Kroos, declaring he`s not leaving Bayern Munich it appears another Bavarian player has given us the thumbs down.

Arjen Robben, has declared that, more-or-less, he`ll not be coming to Old Trafford over his dead-body with Robben attributed as having remarked,

"I don`t want to join United."

"Even if Bayern and United are able to agree a deal over a transfer fee I will not move to Manchester."

A pretty damning statement I`d say!

Thank ***** for that. Robben is a remarkable player who would undoubtedly improve the right flank but for me there's other areas I'd sooner see strengthened before the right wing. Sorting out a successor for Evra, getting in another centre back, sorting out the entire central midfield and sorting out a left winger not to mention the overhaul in terms of depth have all got to take priority.

Even then if we do manage to sort that all it out I still wouldn't want Robben. At 30 years old he's in the twilight years of his career, when he loses that devastating pace that will probably be it for him, much like Eto'o. The club can't justify 25+ mil on a player who can only offer his best for 2-3 years. With younger and potentially just as good possibly better options available for the same/less money the club would be mad to get Robben.
