'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wrong Time, Wrong Place?

Having been axed from his position as the manager of Manchester United, David Moyes has gone on vacation.

With his settlement figure agreed, with it being reported that he had to accept a £1 million cut due to Manchester United`s failure to achieve a Champions League place for next season, Moyes has gone to Miami to celebrate his 51st birthday.

Now whilst various stories continue to appear, in the media relating to a rift with several players and also of Paul Scholes (reportedly) having a few unkind words to say, we`re of the opinion that it is time to move on.

In life we all accept challenges, some we achieve and some we fail miserably. Moyes had every right to accept the United job as he had belief in his abilities. In another era, or even given more time, he may well have proven to be a success.

But, as we all prepare to move on, we`re sure there`ll be no shortage of job offers for Moyes with the press inferring this morning that there are a number of Bundesliga clubs keen to talk to him, we`d like to take this opportunity to thank David for doing his best to steer us through a tricky period in our history and we hope he does find success elsewhere.

Live and learn and all that, best to just move on now rather than dwell on it, especially in Moyes case because there's no-one to blame he simply wasn't good enough for the job and, in my eyes, massively underestimated it.
