Edwin Wants To Seal It

Edwin Wants To Seal It

After last year's disastrous European campaign, it's certainly a relief to see the boys in red being in such a comfortable position in their Champions League group. United's 100 percent record is still intact and Edwin van der Sar would be pleased with nothing less than a victory when the Red Devils' visit Copenhagen on Wednesday.

'It is important to qualify straightaway,' he said.

'November and December are always packed with games and the less important some of those fixtures are, the easier it will be.

'It will allow the manager to bring in a few players to give them some experience of the Champions League, which is helpful, although, of course, we want to win all six matches if we possibly can in order to keep our form flowing.

'Even when you do not think it is important any more a loss can disrupt things a little bit.'

He certainly knows what he's talking about as he's won the big ugly pot with that wonderful Ajax team. Winning all six matches seem to be a bit wild idea with United are yet to visit Celtic Park and a draw in Copenhagen would book their ticket for the second round.
