Another Kroos Update

With the rebuilding of the squad considered essential this summer, in order to avoid a repeat of what`s happened this season, it would appear that the acquisition of Toni Kroos remains a very high priority.

As we`ve mentioned before, United have identified the, soon to be out-of-contract, midfielder as a prime target and following our Champions League exit, at the hands of Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening, it is being reported that our executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, remained in Bavaria to open talks.

Woodward, so it is being reported, is determined to find out if Kroos (24) really does have eyes on a move to Old Trafford whilst also trying to convince Bayern Munich that the proposed fee of 40 million is a sufficient fee for a player of his quality.

Not got much confidence in Woodward to be honest, he's still got a lot of learning to do as the Fabregas & Fellaini sagas showed. As long as he goes in there and doesn't make an arse of himself with an insulting starting bid I suppose it would be a sign that he's improving :P
Ah Woodward is this going to be a yearly affair, chasing after players who have no intention of leaving their respective clubs in their homeland, who are doing a lot better than we are and who are just using us to their own advantage to either gain a better contract or more game time?
