Carrick Warns Liverpool

With the big game, against Liverpool, fast approaching, Michael Carrick has warned Liverpool that form means nothing going into this famous old fixture.

Carrick, expected to be handed a midfield role this afternoon has had the following to say ahead of the game,

"Over recent times we`ve been top of the league. They are on top of us at the moment."

"But form goes out the window in these sorts of games. Regardless of where either team is in the league, it is always a big game."

It is and Carrick went on to add,

"It`s a big month. We wanted a good result to take into the Liverpool game and it was important to win at West Brom."

"But it`s still a one-off and we`re not getting carried away."

"We`ve had good results this season and haven`t capitalised on it."

"We`ve had an up-and-down season but, performance-wise recently, it`s been pretty good, which is why Olympiakos was a shock."

Here`s hoping a visit from the old-foe can get the juices flowing and United can produce a performance that will dent Liverpool`s title hopes.

Is this still the most important fixture of your season or are you targeting something a little more relevent - Southampton away or the Barcodes at home?
