Kuszczak Wants Clean Sheet

Tomasz Kuszczak is a man of extremes. United's No. 2 is set to start his second game at the club when the Red Devils take on League One side Crewe Alexandra tonight. His first appereance after his summer arrival from West Bromwich Albion was of a higher profile: Arsenal visited Old Trafford when Edwin van der Sar's stomach problems cleared the obstacles from Kuszczak's participation. He did well in that game even though his challenge on Adebayor was considered to be a foul by the ref but Kuszczak shrugged it off and went on to save the penalty and excel in the game.

Now he can expect a much calmer night as an experienced back-four will protect his goal against a struggling League One team but he wants to seize any opportunity that comes in his way, regardless of the opposition.

"I`ve waited for my chance and this will be my second opportunity," he told MUTV.

"I will try to win and play well. I want to keep a clean sheet because for me that is always important.

"When I play I want to do well so that I am selected for the next game, because I am sure we will win and go on to the next round.

"Everyone wants to be part of a team that wins something," he added. "This game is the first step to achieving that."
