No Champions League Says Neville

The 2-0 win down at Selhurst Park was most welcome.

The three points earned, courtesy of goals from Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney, have re-ignited the hope that Manchester United will continue their proud tradition of obtaining European football next season.

But it is still a big ask, the gap between us and those in the Champions League places, combined with the fact games are fast running out, means that United might have to be content with, and we dread mentioning it, a place in the Europa League, something many believe it would be wiser to avoid.

However, one of our legends, Gary Neville, speaking to Talksport, is of the opinion that the club will not finish in a Champions League place, and I`m struggling to find an argument to oppose Gary`s views, how about you?

Can't argue with him. The question remains however do we really need the hassle of Europa League football next season? Would we be better off finishing 8th rather that 5th? Or could we use the Europa League as a European football introduction for our younger players, just like we do with our Carling Cup games domestically.
