United Raiding Spurs (Again)?

White Hart Lane has, in the past, been a good transfer hunting ground for Manchester United.

The acquisitions of Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov proved more than worthy to the cause.

This morning I`ve awoken to the inference that Manchester United might be casting an envious eye towards N17 again and that David Moyes, this summer, might be pursing two Spurs players.

The players in question are Jan Vertonghen and Moussa Dembele, the former seemingly recruited to boost our defence and the latter to boost our midfield.

Both are twenty six years of age and both are approaching the best stages of their career, but I can`t stop asking myself whether we should be aiming higher than these two!

Your thoughts please!

Both would walk into your team to be honest. What I can't see happening is Spurs letting more than one key player this summer, unless Sherwood, or whoever is in charge decides they are not in their plans

It's all tabloid bull before any visiting fans get their knickers in a twist about it. Just laugh it off with us VMU members rather than go down the usual route of protesting a hate-filled rant towards the club.
TheFamousNo7
Oxford, you say more than one which leads me to believe you think one key player will definitely be leaving this summer. I can only assume you mean Lloris?
TheFamousNo7
Unfortunately Ox is probably right we will lose at least one of our key players. Dembele is being played higher at the mo and IMO starting to show the class he undoubtably has in a more attacking role, his strength pace and dribbling skills are among the best in the EPL where he does struggle is his final ball, shot accuracy and a little short on staminer. Vertonghen is just short on match fitness but that is changing by the minute. They are both better than anything you have at present and would be first names on team sheet as they are with us. One of your questions is, should you be aiming higher?? Like who?? Regardless it's just paper talk at the moment and no spurs fan would want to see either leave.

United fans have got players like Gundogan or Kroos in mind Supayid, that what he means by higher. Vertonghen I don't doubt could walk straight into our defence but I think we all know that one isn't going to happen. Dembele I've always felt lacks end product, he's got the makings of a good player but it all counts for nothing if there's no end product, a bit like Nani really.

No7 whilst the above are great players in there leagues we all know the EPL is different.... Just ask any Spurs fans about our 7 world class summer signings (supposedly) vertonghen is one of if not the best CB's in our league. If you read my post I agree re Dembele but I have to say he's improving playing further up the pitch and in CM better the an you currently have with the exception of Mata IMO, anyway keep you thieving Manc hands off our boys lol
Supayid
lol mid-table guys having a good chitchat. How nice lol
HGH Magic
HGH guess you are talking to yourself!!

***** off with Dembele. If Moyes is looking at these two to rebuild our team he is a full blown useless Ginger Goblin. We all know the type and quality of player that we need and it isn't those two. Stop dicking about and get a Vidal or Gundogan or Koke.
