Two More Injuries?

As well as slipping to yet another defeat, at the Britannia Stadium, Manchester United lost two players to injury.

Jonny Evans was forced out of the action very early on, adding to our centre back woes, with what David Moyes confirmed as a calf strain whilst Phil Jones left the action on a stretcher.

Jones suffered sickening, but accidental, clash of heads with Jon Walters and was out cold before he hit the ground.

Taken to hospital, Moyes was quick to assure the United faithful that Jones was okay, remarking,

'Phil Jones had concussion but he is okay thankfully. He has had a head scan and there are no problems."

'You could see it was fierce clash but completely accidental on both players' behalf. Phil hit the ground with his head and that was probably it - you can tell sometimes when they are not right.'

Glad to hear that but it just shows that when things are not going your way they have a tendency to go from bad to worse.

Just great, we needed to sign a couple of defenders before the Stoke game. Moyes really has this management lark down to a t.

The good news here then is that Jones should make a swift return to the first team. He's been the only positive in a catalogue of horrific defensive displays.

what a world-class job Moyes' doing with this squad; thanks Fergie ;)

These injuries are really starting to get to us now. Can't believe how little luck we're having. I'm honestly starting to think Moyes is jixned.
