'If It's Football, It's Vital'

End of an Era!

Another defeat, this time down at the Britannia Stadium, leaves us all in a solemn mood this morning.

Before yesterday United had never lost a Premier League game against Stoke, but I guess there`s always a first time.

However, the match also threw up two interesting statistics.

In scoring the equalizer (before Charlie Adam went on to win the match with a wonderful strike) Robin Van Persie became the first player in the Premier League to score in eight back-to-back appearances against a single opponent.

Unfortunately, on a day when Stoke were to beat us for the first time in a Premier League fixture, it also meant that it was the first time United had lost a Premier League defeat when Van Persie had scored, a run of some 28 games.
