A Good Try!

David Moyes appeared to have, according to his words of wisdom yesterday, settled for just bringing in Juan Mata this January transfer window.

However, stories doing the rounds in several media sources today suggest something a little different.

They`re suggesting that United were keen to enter into discussions with Spurs about bringing the England international Andros Townsend to Old Trafford.

The discussions involved bringing the 22-year-old her but sending 27-year-old Nani in the opposite direction.

The indications are that Spurs were, initially, interested in discussing the subject but then rejected any deal.

I guess it was a good try!

Seriously? Are we pulling transfer targets out of a hat?

I feel perhaps Mr Red Boy you are a little mis-informed this deal was never on, "The indications are that Spurs were, initially, interested in discussing the subject...." Are i believe totally wrong, the offer was, stated by two other sources as a "joke bid" and ruled totally out of order by the Spurs management and not considered in any way.
