'If It's Football, It's Vital'

That Other Chap!

That could soon be you!

Okay, we may have gone on an unbeaten run and looked like we were getting back to the United of old, but once again we`ve been beaten at home, something that was a scarcity when that other chap was in charge!

The fact that Swansea knocked us out of the FA Cup with a 90th minute winner has something of an ironic ring to it when you consider the number of late goals we got with the other chap in charge!

Speaking about our exit from the FA Cup, David Moyes had this to say,

'We were a bit unlucky to lose. We had some opportunities, not enough, and we were down to 10 men."

'We played quite well at times, got near the edge of the box quite regular, but didn't make an opportunity to score the goal. I thought for long periods we had good control of the game."

'When you lose games at any club, it's difficult. We've got a big game on Tuesday [in the League Cup semi-final against Sunderland] and we'll get the team ready for that.'

With that other chap who was in charge sitting in the stands it might be prudent to ask for a bit of advice otherwise, David Moyes, you might in the near future soon be described as that other chap who was in charge!

"We were a bit unlucky to lose. We had some opportunities, not enough, and we were down to 10 men." Oxymoron anyone? If you didn't create enough opportunities to win and were down to 10 men, how is it that you are unlucky to lose?

I'm wondering whether or not the Glazers will actually want to sack Moyes. After all, he's on a 6 year deal, and the level of compensation he'd be entitled to for being axed must be quite frightening.

Tbh Fitchcolumblue, it begs the question why the ***** did we give him a 6 year contract? Should of been a 2 year deal, see how he does and if he does well he gets a longer contract. 6 years just seems ridiculous.
Kanchelskis
I seriously hope you don't fire him. I believe he just needs more time.
Sajit
Well if you do get rid of him there is a ready made replacement and won't need to bother with any compensation..... his name Ian Holloway, and he is used to a relegtion battle as well......

Moyes is a very good manager, but how do you follow the last act? When Sir Matt went they brought in dross until the right man came along. They rushed into this with a short list of one.
