New Concerns Relating to Rooney

Is all not as it might seem?

Although there has been the broadest hint from within the walls of Old Trafford that Manchester United have no real concerns about losing Wayne Rooney when his contract expires, could the scenario be changing?

The reason why we ask is that there are enormous amounts of speculation in the press that infers that David Moyes had admitted that there is no guarantee that Wayne Rooney will sign a new contract.

It`s suspected that if Manchester United do fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, on the back of their current lowly Premier League position then Rooney could be looking for the exit even if he is on a salary said to be worth 250,000 a week.

A sobering thought, even more so when you think who else might be tempted to jump ship!

When Rooney previously came out a couple of seasons ago and wanted to leave, he stated that the club had a lack of ambition. Now 2 or 3 years later he can see the same crap happening so who can blame him. I know hes on a ridiculous wage for kicking a bag of air around but at 29 this next contract will likely be his last big payday so why stay at a declining club when he can go off to Chelski get more money and play in a side that will never be devoid of talent like Uniteds squad has become. I really hope he stays though. If he went I would worry about the message being sent out to the fans and our rivals, it would take a huge spending spree to come back from a kick in the nuts like that and with the trolls at the top and Mr Conservative in the dug we are never going to spend much.
