Moyes Moans About Howard Webb!

Following the home defeat at the hands of Tottenham, David Moyes had a few things to say about the referee Howard Webb.

It seems that our manager was none too happy with Webb`s decision in the incident where the Spurs keeper, Hugo Lloris clattered into Ashley Young and even after the dust had died down was riled enough to remark,

"It`s scandalous. It`s a scandal. It`s probably one of the worst I`ve seen. If that is anywhere else on the pitch and you follow through on a player with your foot high, it would be a red card. You couldn`t do that anywhere else."

"The goalkeeper comes out, Ashley Young gets to the ball before him and he follows through."

"It`s an incredible decision that didn`t go our way. It`s reckless, it`s late and it`s in the box."

"You hope that the people that put the referees out there will look at it and look to see if the referees are doing as well as they can do. If they are, then they keep picking them."

On reflection it did seem a strange decision and with Howard Webb shrouded in controversy after a few dodgy decisions in the recent Chelsea v Liverpool game, Moyes was further incensed by the booking Adnan Januzaj received for a, supposed, dive, prompting Moyes to further add,

"That was a terrible decision. Adnan got bumped. The boy has bumped him trying to edge him off the ball."

Two decisions that were indicative of the result!

No David the worst decision you have ever seen is a goal almost hitting the back of the net being clawed out and Old Trafford and a goal not being awarded. The two don't even compare. Your bleating because Sir Alex was the best manager in the country winning the league with an ordinary side, same players ordinary manager, ordinary results. You need a defensive midfield badly and to get rid of the hopeless Cleverley.
LOL - payback time for United for all the decisions that have gone against us (Spurs) and all the other visting teams over the years. Moyes forgets to mention Wellbeck's blatant dive or the clear handball from Smalling in the 2nd half - effing hypocrit! Bleat bleat bleat same with Fergie same with Moyes and yes it was a pen so suck it up!
Doesn't appear as though Moyes has the same influence on refereeing decisions that Fergie did. But you still got 5 minutes extra time when the commentator on BT sports had said it was stated as 4!! Also said by the pundits "Why was Januzaj expected to do so much? All the pressure was on him and he's still a kid" The older, more established, players should have contributed more. You seriously pressured us at the end and you could have got the point that pressure deserved.
Red Boy, if you are a fair minded person you will know you have more than a few dodgy decisions over the years from that nice Mr Webb. I remember a few years ago with Spurs leading 2-0 and in control of the match. Carrick ran in the box, the Spurs keeper at the time Gomes pushing the ball away, Carrick falling over and Webb, some 30 yards away giving a penalty. Webb admitted afterwards he got it wrong but that did not help Spurs as we went to pieces and lost 5-2 I believe. Also I liked Gary Lineker's comment " When was Howard Webb sold by United? I must have missed that move in the transfer window" I think the united fans may have to realise now they do not have "Old Red Nose" to put fear into referees it has become a level playing field. Best of luck for the rest of the season now we have played you twice.
Ox Yid
Please Mr Moyes stfu, it wasn't a penalty. The biggest issue for you Moyes is how the ***** we have been beaten by the spuds at home as well as Newcastle and Everton and West Brom. There were no "bad" decisions in those games just bad management, bad players and no spark in midfield. You came out after our supposed great form, (beating west ham and norwich isnt great) and said that we wont sign anyone in January, are you *****ing deluded? Have the Glazers had a word in your ear? Does Fergie still decide on our squad? Are you out of your depth? Stop with the bull***** excuses, we are the defending champions who are supposedly sitting on a fortune in sponsorship money and yet we are one point ahead of Newcastle in 7th place and with a weaker squad than last year, explain that Mr Moyes. An 18 year old was the only bright spark that we had on the pitch, a *****ing 18 year old. Moyes, Woodward and the Yank trolls have turned us into a *****ing joke. No Champions league football next year? Thats not good enough, we are not Everton although you seem to want us to be, I mean have you got a hard on for Baines? We've signed a *****ing donkey in Fellaini, you turned down Ozil, you *****ed up on Thiago, you actually play Tom Cleverley and now Young. If you do not sign a top class pair of central midfielders in January we are well and truly *****ed and if we finish outside of the top 4 you had better walk away from the job. Its *****ing disgrace what has been done in the last 6 months to us. ***** off with your excuses, the team is past it so do something about it, Koke/Gundogan would be a start.
Let's face it boys he's been a great servant to your club in the past! Like us your expecting a lot from your manager! There's always next year eh?
Kanchelskis............ You wer beaten by "the Spuds" because youv'e had your chips. COYS
You can't have it both ways MOYES,the number of times Young has conned the ref into awarding a penalty to win United games in the past.Well now he's a renowned DIVER everyone knows that. This time it's backfired, it probably was a penalty, but what goes around comes around.
No issue with the ref not awarding the penalty regardless of whether it was a good or bad call. We've had more than our fairshare go in our favour in past fixtures against Tottenham to feel hard done by when a decision hasn't gone in our favour. To be honest we shouldn't have needed a penalty to back into the game, we had ample chances but lacked the killer ball.

Young's diving and recent comments about how he's not going to change have well and truly come back and bit him in the arse and rather rightly royally p155ed off not just United fans but the whole of the football community. There's some poetic justice that the call wasn't given and hopefully now he'll sort out his game, which I largely doubt will be at this club for much longer, else he risks seeing more penalty decisions go against him rightly or wrongly.

Tis alarming that Januzaj is the only player we have who make something happen and provide end product. The lad's a massive talent and will be a world beater if he can remain injury free and keeps the modest, hard-working attitude. If only we had another one of him on the opposite wing we wouldn't be forced to endure Valencia's consistently overhit crosses, Nani's inconsistent crosses nor Youngs general Young-ness.

Sorry to say but I think it's time we conceded defeat with Kagawa, I understand gametime has been scarce for him but whenever given the opportunity he's looked too lightweight for the league and is guilty of letting the game pass him by. He's 2 good games this season came against German opposition, one would think he can only do it against/in Germany. Perhaps he's best off heading back to Germany and hopefully we can recoup good money or get another talent in return in a trade.

We're in desperate need of a midfielder who can take the game to the opposition through the middle. Wing play is alright when you've got a Giggs and Beckham delivering the ball into the box but with our current contingency, par Januzaj, we're just smashing the ball from one wing, right over the box, to the other. Rooney is a cracking player but he's the only one who offers anything going down the center and as such is easily nullified. Both Carrick and Rooney will both be allowed more time to breathe and be more expressive if stopping us play wasn't as simple as stopping them play. One more midfielder, the killer-pass spotting and playing one us fans have been crying out for would see the team so greatly improved.
Fair summary No7. The fact is that without RVP and with Rooney clearly not fit (contributed nothing second half) the squad is rather ordinary. Sorry but I think I've become your hoodoo - last three visits to OT I've seen you lose.
Love totty
Young was bloody lucky not to have been sent off for diving, Everyone knows his hero is Tom Daley. HA HA HA If it wasn't a penalty in Webb's eyes, he should have red carded Young for simulation, so basically at the end of the day you were damned lucky not to end up with ten men and be hammered by four or five, if Webb had seen fit to do the deed. Moyes just doesn't have the managerial nous that SAF had and as such you will not be in the top four this season and maybe not even the next. Mid table mediocrity here you come. AHAHAHAHAHA
