Sneidjer Not Coming!

Although the tabloid press have been making a case out relating to Manchester United signing the Dutch midfielder, Wesley Sneijder, it appears that confirmation has come through that it really is a non-starter.

Not even mutterings that Sneijder`s acceptance of a pay deal said to be 1 million less than he`s on now can increase United`s waning interest.

It appears that United are reluctant to pay big bucks for a player that has very little re-sale potential, cash-wise. Instead it is being reported that United will continue with a policy whereby they`ll sign young talent that, if needs to be, can be moved on with a decent re-sale price.

Sounds sound to me, how about you?

But then again we have made a fortune selling on Bebe, Anderson and the other clowns with potential that we've signed. Forget Sneijder we have no interest in signing anyone, the excuses have already been made the Glazers are counting their profits and our team will continue to degrade and suffer.
Don't think he's got the legs for the Premier League anyway to be perfectly honest.

Can understand your frustration Kanchelskis. My issue doesn't derive so much from the excuse making as much as it does from the insistence that the playing squad is good enough. Unless your team is the best in the world you can always improve and even once you are the best in the world you have to keep improving to stay on top. Barca were the best in the world, didn't freshen up and as things got stale they've gotten worse (though still remarkably good) whilst Bayern usurped them. Bayern on the other hand are the pinnacle of club football at the moment and continue to strive to be better and went out and got Gotze, Thiago and Kirchoff in the Summer and are also looking at Lewandowski (apparently) whilst trimming the chaff from the wheat in Gustavo amongst others.

It's frustrating as a fan and outright stupid and negligent as anyone involved at the club to not strive to improve after winning the league. The buck shouldn't stop at domestic domination but strive for European domination. Idly twiddling your thumbs only means you get stale whilst the opposition catches you up and get better, something we should've learned, seemingly did at the time (until we won the league again anyway...) when Arsenal, Chelsea and City usurped us.

Understandably Moyes didn't want to come in and make drastic wholesale changes and it was perhaps a wiser move. However, everyone has now had their chance and Moyes should have a good idea as to where we should improve and who needs to be shipped out. If the targets aren't available now just be honest and outright about it, signing players midway through a season isn't easy and fans would understand a lot more then than if we start getting fed the same ****** about no value and some other clangers we've been told.
Tbh Famous I don't think we can wait till the summer to sign players, we are sinking into the abyss it could take years for us to get the kind of momentum going that we have had. Our squad is old and stale why not get in two or three players now, yes they'll cost us more and will be cuptied in Europe but ***** it we need to make a statement, theres a world cup around the corner and no one will want to sign up for a team without Champions league football managed by a dour Scot with no European experience who just seems to deliberately undervalue targets. So do it now while we have a chance of getting into the top four , as we are now we'll be lucky to be top 10. Get Koke in or Gundogan (who wouldn't be cup tied), show us the fans that you actually give a *****, Woodward, Moyes and the Yank Trolls need to act now and stop bull*****ting us and leeching off the club. I'm angry at this carry on, this crap doesn't happen at Utd its happens at other clubs, so Fergies left so what, we are still Utd and we still expect the best so stop dicking about and sign the players that will put us back where this club belongs, challenging in Europe and definitely not just 1 point ahead of Newcastle in the league.
