No January Spending Spree?

If it is true I find it to be very disappointing.

Okay, we may be on the best run of form since David Moyes took over from Sir Alex Ferguson but that shouldn`t mask the fact that, although we`re good, we`re not as good as some of our rivals appear to be.

Already, several times, we`ve intimated that our midfield needs strengthening and our central defence could do with an influx of talent so to hear it being remarked, by the Evening Standard of all publications, David Moyes has hinted that there will be no January spending spree when the window opens next week worries me!

Wish I could say I'm disappointed and didn't see it coming but I can't and fully expected a U-turn to happen. Just hope the lack of reinforcements doesn't come back and bite the club in the arse. Moyes will look silly for thinking a few good results meant the team was adequate enough for the targets it should be aiming for as opposed to the one it should be achieving as a bare minimum (top four) but is struggling to do currently. Woodward also would look silly for not investing 20 mil which could've earned a lot more in champions league revenue. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way though I just hope it doesn't come to out as once you're out of the champions league it's hard to get back in.

***** you Moyes.

We are not asking for a spending spree, we are asking for 2 players that we desperately need to come in and fix our undermanned, under powered, aging, over the hill team. Thats not much to ask for considering the merchandise, revenue and sponsorship plus gate fees that we get.l
