Line-ups vs Copenhagen

Cristiano Ronaldo won the race with time and took his place in the starting line-up despite earlier worries. Ryan Giggs is also in the first 11 after a fine display against Wigan so finally we are able to field our strongest attacking formation with Scholes, Carrick, Giggs, Ronaldo, Rooney and Saha are all on the field for the first time this season.

FC Copenhagen midfielder Tobias Linderoth ultimately made the trip to Manchester to join the rest of the squad and is in the starting line-up.

Manchester United: Van der Sar - O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra - Ronaldo, Scholes, Carrick, Giggs - Rooney, Saha

FC Copenhagen: Christiansen - Jacobsen, Hangeland, Gravgaard, Wendt - Silberbauer, Linderoth, Noregaard, Hutchinson - Allbäck, Berglund
