Hernandez Contract Improvement?

Hernandez Contract Improvement?

Are Manchester United trying to financially appease Javier Hernandez?

The reason I ask is that the grapevine has been alive, in recent weeks, with the suggestion that our 25 year-old Mexican striker could be set for pastures new in the search for regular first team football.

Already there have been articles published linking Hernandez with a move away from Old Trafford to either Spurs or Arsenal and I`m sure that, if he became available, there would be many more suitors.

Therefore, getting back to the original question, it would seem that someone at United believes Hernandez, who has one Premier League start to his mane this season, could be enticed to stay if his £60,000 a week salary were to be increased.

However, perhaps somebody should remind somebody that perhaps it`s not all about the money!

If the lad isn't happy about being a super-sub and rotation option upfront then it's surely got to be his best option to leave. I would love to see him play more and would hate to see him go but i can't see us being able to confine someone with such goalscoring ability to the bench. He loves United, of that I have no doubt but his enthusiam and professionalism exceed that love so it wouldn't shock me if he made the footballing move as opposed the 'loyal' (if you will) move and I can't say I would blame him.

For now though I hope we can give him some more gametime upfront. With Carrick injured we need someone who can act as a playmaker in midfield, hopefully Rooney or Kagawa can be that person and as such Hernandez can be accomadated into the squad.
