'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ambitious Nani and his superclub

Vital Manchester United is back, everyone. After such a long break we have no time to waste so let's get it started.

The tabloids are full of rumours about a certain wonderkid of Sporting's academy but it's not about Ronaldo's eternal commitment now: United are eyeing 19-year-old Nani if rumours are to be believed.

The forward is contracted to the Lisbon outfit until 2008 but United want to move for him before his club are able to insert a clause stating he cannot be sold for less than £17,5 million. The boy has scored three goals already in six league games this season and he is thought to be watched by a bunch of top European clubs - and he seems ready to step up a grade.
'If I leave at any time it would be to go to a superclub. I am young and very ambitious' - he said. However ambitious he is, though, Sporting do not want to sell him - at this moment, according to their president Filipe Soares. He ruled out a winter sale so it seems all the Nani fans have to wait until next summer to see him in a United shirt.

At this point I must make a fatal mistake: I have to admit I never saw him play (somehow the Portuguese league is out of my sight) so I'm happy to hear all your comments about him.

if what is written is true about him would be a great long term signing for you ... Ronaldo being there already may be able to sway the deal for you !
