Huge Bale Bid To Come?

It`s a story that has been bubbling along all summer, namely the possibility of a mega-signing by Manchester United.

Rumours, emanating from within Old Trafford, have suggested that money is no object with regards to David Moyes recruiting for the coming season.

Much of the speculation has surrounded two players, the first being Cristiano Ronaldo and the second being Gareth Bale.

With regards to the former, it`s now deemed highly unlikely that Ronaldo will be leaving Real Madrid this summer.

This morning the focus has switched firmly back on Gareth Bale with the Daily Mirror championing an exclusive whereby they`re predicting that United are set to try and tempt Spurs into selling their prize asset for a United club record fee of £60 million.

Now whether Spurs have any intention of selling the Welsh star now will once again come to the forefront of any possible progress on a deal.

Personally, although the club may harbour ambitions of Gareth Bale becoming the first major signing of the Moyes era, I can`t really see it happening, can you?

Marshall Lyons
he wont leave for a season or 2 yet, unless you make the bid £80 million of course ;)
marshall lyons do you really think we turned down £100 million, be real mate, I think the rumoured £60 million is close to a fair price!!
100mill story came from tim sherwood he should know
Marshall Lyons
Don't sell to united at all, not after the Way they behaved with berbatoss, all downhill for united now, nobody wants to go to united now ferguson has gone, they have had their time, a slow sinking down the league, that is what I think (hope) will happen. Maybe learn a bit of humility as they go ??
oh sorry I didn't realise mr.sherwood was a friend of yours!
Bit of ITK for you; Speaking to one of your season ticket holders who live's in Gillingham in the south of england and as we know, most of them do, owner of the Beijing Inn Tony, said his brother who works in china town london, another big city for Man U fans, told him Ed Woodward returning was to deal solely with Wayne's move to chelsea and nothing else, so all this Bale to your club, is just wishful thinking by Mr Moyes and made up by Mickey Mouse web sites.
spu 4 life
mate bale is going nowhere espicially to join up with grab a granny we said we will not sell to another premier club already so why all the crap and at that low fee !!!!!!!!!!! WE ALL KNOW THE MIRROR joke paper!!
In your dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry guys, we turned down £85m from RM, and you think we'll sell him to ManU for £60m? Plus there's Daniel Levy and what he thinks of you after the Berbatoss affair.
Lol 12 comments and all from Spurs fans. Must have hit a nerve Red boy. Guys worried much hehe.
Was wondering when we amalgamated with vital spuds;-) 60 mill for Bale bloody good player but you can keep him at that over inflated price. He'll be going Real Madrid we all know just admit it.
lol zz.. was thinking this was vital spuds. lol good work RedBoy, really touched some fecking nerves. Bale is overrated, predictable and one-dimensional; watch him against the best club in London, Chelsea, and see how ORDINARY he is. Btw, wtf is he gonna win with the spuds? lol zz.. £40 mil tops...
HGH Magic
Levy turned down 85-100 mil, do you honestly believe that? The fella with the '£' sign for irises turned down a fee bigger than Ronaldo's for a player who, despite being very talented, is still no where near his level? The rumours bull. Much like the Fabregas one, even if it had an inkling of truth in it it's still never going to happen and a complete waste of time to even entertain the idea. A question to the members of VS, why do you always get so uptight when we're linked to one of your players? Even when the rumour is so very clearly a load of rubbish you still bite and post comments like its official.
