With United set to learn their punishment, from UEFA, relating to the misdemeanors committed in the Champions League tie with Real Madrid, fingers are crossed that Nani isn`t punished excessively for his red card.
The disputed red-card, a card that only the referee (and Roy Keane) thought necessary, will see Nani banned. However, it is being reported that United have taken steps to submit a detailed case for leniency, hoping that UEFA doesn`t impose anything other than a one-game ban.
Sometime today we`ll see if UEFA listened or simply pressed on regardless.

Reducing the ban suggests to me it wasn't worthy of a red card. If UEFA genuinely believed it was a red card offence and want to truly back their ref then they're got to impose the normal punishment.

Hopefully it's just the one match. But I wouldn't put anything past UEFA.
