Van Persie - Winning Fitness Battle

Watching Robin Van Persie take a tumble into that photographers` pit, at Loftus Road, gave us all cause for concern.

Even more so when the Dutch striker was forced off the field of play in the second half and Sir Alex Ferguson, in his post-match interview, suggested he may miss the return leg of the Champions League battle with Real Madrid.

However, it appears that the injury is nothing more than bad bruising and although Van Persie will miss the clash with Norwich City this weekend, the inference from several news sources is that Van Persie will be fit to face Real Madrid when the Spanish giants come to Old Trafford.

Bit of good news need everyone firing on all cylinders for the Madrid match. Every paper is saying its advantage to us but it's not really seeing how one goal for Madrid will turn it on its head. If our defence was the tightest in Europe admittedly it would be an advantage but can anyone honestly see this match ending 0-0.

Great news. We will need him at his clinical best. According to opta his conversion rate is 26% thing is against Madrid we're going to need him to score more than 1 in 4 as chances created, especially the ones as clear as in madrid, will be a rarity. Got a horrible feeling the game will finish 2-2 though.
