United in for Williams?
Well that would be a remarkable turnaround!
Only months after blasting Ashley Williams for kicking the ball at the head of the grounded Robin van Perise and inferring he could have killed the Dutch striker, Sir Alex Ferguson is rumoured to be thinking of bringing the centre back to Old Trafford.
The suggestion being peddled is that Sir Alex might be revamping the central defence this summer with doubts about Rio Ferdinand remaining at Old Trafford and Nemanja Vidic`s injury problems influencing his thoughts.
The tabloid press infer that a deal for Williams could cost United something in the region of £10 million but the centre back, currently on a rumoured £25,000 a week would jump at the chance to move to Old Trafford.
