Fergie`s Thoughts from Loftus Road

Fergie`s Thoughts from Loftus Road

Having opened up a fifteen point gap, over our nearest title challengers Manchester City, Sir Alex Ferguson had this to say about the winning goal and the injury suffered by Robin Van Persie,

'Rafael's goal was fantastic - it was probably goal of the month. Robin van Persie also had a great run and strike but the keeper saved it. You have to get that second goal and Ryan Giggs has a great record of scoring here. He's delivered again - he's an amazing man."

'Van Persie seems to have collided with the camera dugout. We will assess him tomorrow - it was his hip. It will be tender but hopefully he will be alright in time for the Real Madrid game.'

Let`s hope so, we may need his exquisite finishing skills against the Spanish giants.

Personally wouldn't say RVP has been as clinical as he could be. With the number of chances his been provided with this season he could've easily broke the record he set last season. We will certainly need him firing at his best against Madrid and taking the numerous chances he's normally provided with every game.
