Evans - Don`t Get Fazed!

Evans - Don`t Get Fazed!

Tonight, as the two teams emerge form the dressing rooms in the Bernabeu, it`s essential that United don` get fazed by what lies ahead of them.

Although the opposition are a top class team, we should not forget that we have our own top-notch credentials. On our day we`re more than capable of getting a result and Jonny Evans, now a mainstay of the central defence has re-iterated this point in the media this morning, remarking,

"We can`t be daunted."

"We are Manchester united, teams look up to us as well."

"I am sure the pressures will be on them. They have good players who can hurt you but we play against Premier League opposition every week and that is one of the best leagues in the world."

"It is just as if we were playing Man City or Liverpool. They are top players and we have to be spot on."

My feeling is that Sir Alex will have been cajoling and coaxing his players, utilizing all his experience, to ensure we do get the required result tonight, as the gaffer seeks another Champions League trophy to hang onto his CV.

Class he was pure class, one of the most underrated defenders in world football. De Gea didn't have to make any 1-on-1 saves but saved everything rlse, his performances and jones' were also pure class. Welbeck also had a good game whilst he was on, when he develops a finishing touch we have one helluva striker In our hands. Is it just me or is Rooney a massive choker in big games? I know he was played out of position but he just never got into the stride of things and lost the ball too much. When he turns up he arrives with a bang but a majority of the time he doesn't turn up. After that game also gutted we missed out on Varane, he's too good for Madrid :P, his got a big future ahead of him.

We did really well Madrid were all over us. Definitely scared them though shame RVP didn't net his chances. Wellbeck played a blinder but Rooney was well off the boil and kagawa was far from convincing. What the hell was the ref playing at on the final whistle? I'm going to refrain from getting started on Ramos.

Ramos, the only man who can elbow a player blatantly in the head and not get a yellow and then simulate being elbowed and get the opposition a yellow. He shouldn't of even been on the pitch, such a dirty barsteward who gets away with everything. Had a nightmare of a game though and was largely bailed out by Varane throughout.
