'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sir Alex on Title Race

It would appear that Manchester City`s spectacular flop down at St Mary`s, on Saturday evening, influenced Sir Alex Ferguson`s selection policy.

With City dropping three points it seems that Sir Alex juggled his starting eleven knowing full well that this was a golden opportunity to stretch the lead at the top of the Premier League to 12 points.

After the 2-0 win over Everton, Sir Alex confirmed as such, remarking to the media,

'We've got to win our games regardless of what happens with City and if we concentrate on our own games we'll be okay."

'I was going to make about seven changes to the game but when I saw yesterday's result I changed that because we knew if we got a result it would put us in a fantastic position.'

It certainly has and as I suggested yesterday, it surely is now ours to throw away!

The Fear
Headache for mourinho trying to work out which 7 players were going to be rested for the game v Madrid. He loves the tactical aspect of the game and I suspect fergie has kept him guessing as to what approach towards the game were going fo take.

Bet Mourinho's praying we rest RVP as I'll be praying he rests Ronaldo though both are extremely unlikely.
