Rooney on Win at Fulham!

Down in West London, Wayne Rooney kept his recent good scoring run, against Fulham, going.

In a fascinating game that was a credit to both teams, Rooney notched the winner with eleven minutes of normal time left.

Following the final whistle Wayne spoke to the media about nicking the result and also having to cope with the second floodlight failure we`ve had on our travels this season, the other being against Braga,

"It`s always difficult coming here and they made it difficult for us."

"We hit the post and crossbar three times. We had to keep going and believe we could get the goal and we did."

"We know we can create chances and take them and we just made sure we kept our focus and kept going and pushing for that win."

And on the floodlight failure and closing in on the title, Wayne added,

"It`s just one of those things. We made sure we kept our focus and kept going."

"We`re in a good position, but we`re not going to get carried away. We`ve got to keep going and see where we are with three of four games to go."

The same attitude covering familiar territory, some might say!
