The Hernandez Dilemma

With four strikers vying for two positions in the starting eleven, competition is fierce for places, even more so when one of those not considered as a first choice has 14 goals from 24 appearances this season.

Sir Alex Ferguson, if the chips are down, usually starts with Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney which leaves Javier Hernandez, with his 14 goals in 24 appearances usually sitting on the bench.

It`s a problem Sir Alex is acutely aware of and ahead of the fixture with Southampton tonight, has spoken to the media about the young Mexican striker, commenting,

"It`s a terrible dilemma when I`ve got that lad there."

"Sometimes I leave him out to bring in Robin van Persie but, as I explain to him, we regard him so highly. He`s a fantastic professional, unbelievable attitude to the game, never stops running or working and every training session`s the same."

"So I`m really pleased for him."

But for how long can Sir Alex pacify Javier is my golden question!

Drop Rooney deeper next to Carrick in a central midfield role seeing as that utilises all his abilities, its where he will play in the future and its the position he drops into when off the ball anyway and then let Welbeck and Hernandez slug it out for the striker role.
