Lampard Mutterings Increasing in Volume!

Lampard Mutterings Increasing in Volume!

There are still mutterings doing the rounds about an audacious bid to bring Frank Lampard to Old Trafford.

With Chelsea, apparently, not prepared to offer the 34 year-old a new contract, despite his recent performances, United will be hoping that stance remains.

With Giggs and Scholes running out of time, the signing of Lampard could give our youngsters some much needed breathing space.

Whilst accepting that Lampard will not be leaving Chelsea in the January transfer window, a summer move for the veteran is still being inferred.

Could, in your view, Lampard bring something to the table next season?

Still can't see it happening, yeah he can bring experience but that's about it, his hardly the midfielder we're in dire need of. We want a combative midfielder capable of breaking down dangerous moves and ensuring we control the midfield and as a consequence the game. Lampard in contrast tends to shirk any defensive responsibility in an attempt to get the right time right place goals thus leaving the defence exposed. We've seen Tiote do it to us, Fellaini do it to us and even at one point Tchoyi and every time it's happened we didn't get a result as there was no counter measure.
