'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Dream Start

Considering how many times we`ve fallen behind this season, getting our noses in front, so early, against Fulham, was a dream start.

It meant those early nerves were settled and our opponents were put on the back-foot.

Speaking about the early goal, Ryan Giggs, the scorer, had this to say,

'We got the early goal which is what you really want, but we didn't really kick on after that. We should have been more clinical. In the second half we were. We have not done as well as we should have in the FA Cup over the last eight or nine years.'

Does anyone else get the feeling that Sir Alex wants to see the name of Manchester United scribed on that famous old trophy, one more time?

Think Fergie wants to see the name on the trophy one last time before he retires from the club even though he disguises it as Ferdinand who wants a winners medal. Sadly if we hadn't of treated it with so much contempt in recent years, often fielding inexperienced youngsters as if it were the carling cup, we could've won it more often. In the years where we missed out on the league and champions league, it's a nice consolation to now you got the FA Cup.
