Now That`s More Like it!

At last an FA Cup run is going the way the faithful want it.

Our 4-1 demolition of Fulham has landed us a spot in the last sixteen of a competition we`ve not won for what seems an eternity.

After the 4-1 win, at Old Trafford, Sir Alex had this to say to the BBC about winning a trophy that has eluded us in recent years,

'The FA Cup is an important trophy for us this season. We haven't won it for 10 years. Rio Ferdinand has never won an FA Cup medal, so we need to do something about that. The four strikers we had in 1999 were fantastic players but we have four now who are equally as good. If we can get three or four players around the 20-goal bracket then we're in business.'

Is Sir Alex hinting at a double, or even a treble?

The midfield of the 1999 team had an enforcer, someone who could break down the opposition. I don't think we've got a Roy Keane figure in our team to turn around a deficit against a leading European side in the Champions League to realistically win it. The FA Cup would be nice though seeing as it feels like its been such a long time since we tasted success in a cup final.
