More Jeepers Keepers

The speculation surrounding who might be our man between the sticks continues to grow on a daily basis.

Today, the transfer gossip is implying that we`re about to go head-to-head with Manchester City for the services of Asmir Begovic, a keeper who has been linked with us already this transfer window.

However, a new name is also thrown into the hat with it now being insinuated that Manchester United may very well be preparing to make a move for Julio Cesar, the 31 year-old Brazilian picked up by Queens Park Rangers in the summer transfer window.

Apparently, QPR are keen to get either Julio Cesar or Robert Green of their books as they`re both on high salaries.

If pressed, I have to admit that I`d prefer United to sign Asmir Begovic out of the two.

How about you?

have to say, I think getting someone like Cesar or Lloris last summer, when he was available from Lyon would have been good and sensible business

We won't sign a keeper, De Gea with Lindegaard as cover is more than sufficient enough. De Gea isn't world class yet but we knew that when we took him on and as such I expect the club will stick by him until he either fulfils his potential as a world beater, or flops (can't see that happening though, his progressed tremendously with each game). Lloris is a class keeper yeah but Fergie didn't want anything other than another Van Der Sar, fairly enough an all and despite some mistakes I'm pleased with de Gea and the progress his made. Cesar's wages are ridiculous and I'm glad we steered clear of him, his not quite the keeper he use to be either.

That teams that's supposed to do a quadruple, can't remember their name, you know the one that their player just decided it was acceptable to kick a kid? Yeah well they're not doing a very good job at it.
