Zaha Deal Back On!

Yesterday the insinuation from the red-top media was that any deal to take Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace to Old Trafford was on the rocks.

Rumours were rife that Palace had rejected the offer made by United and that was supposed to be that.

Well, in the space of twenty-for hours the deal has gone from being dead to very much alive with the insinuation now that the clubs have agreed to do a deal with the transfer fee reported to be a hefty £15 million for the rookie international winger.

Delving deeper there is also the insinuation that Sir Alex met up with young Zaha after the draw at White Hart Lane before the squad departed for Qatar, for the four day training break.

Off course, all this is still speculation as nothing has been announced, officially, by those associated with such things at Old Trafford.

If any deal is "Officially" agreed with anyone - Wilfred will be the first to know and only then would Palace announce it. For weeks now it is only newspaper column - and still is as i write!

Well it seems to be between us and arsenal for his signature with most of the newspaper columns linking us as the only ones actually making a move. Gill and Fergie have both made it very clear no-one will be coming in in January therefore if a deal is struck between the two clubs its safe to speculate that Zaha will stay at Palace until the end of the season. Judging by our wingers performances so far this season we could certainly do with more competition for the position, we have an abundance of width in our team but only 3 wingers providing that width and when they're not kicking we're missing a dimension of our play.
