Two More Injuries

One negative outcome regarding the fine 2-1 win over Liverpool yesterday were two injuries we picked up.

Both Nemanja Vidic and Ashley Young picked up injuries with Young, we`re reliably informed, limping away from Old Trafford on crutches.

We`ll endeavour to follow up with any further news we receive but we`re hopeful any scans won`t find any serious damage.

Not looking good for Vidic's long term prospects, as the word on the tweet is he's torn his knee ligaments. If it's the same knee that has been problematic since the last time he ruptured his cruciate, then I'd say his career as a top flight defender is pretty much done. Shame, because although he plays for you, he is a rather decent defender, and no ammount of Evans, Smallings or Joneses are going to replace him

Well, I'm going to maintain some hope that it isn't his knee ligaments again fcb solely because its the word on the tweet, not exactly the most reliable source unless its the clubs official twitter page. The injury news isn't a shock though, Vidic is made of glass nowadays and if worse comes to worst we really have got to think about getting him off the wage bill as we can't afford 100k (or whatever he's earning) a week sitting in the physios room.

Fingers crossed its nothing serious we need his stability and leadership at the back. But if it is a serious injury I agree we have to look into getting rid and finding a replacement

According to Fergie it was nothing serious, both injuries that is and they trained the next day like normal.
