Zaha Update

Although we appear to be in the driving seat with regards to the signing of the talented Crystal Palace youngster, Wilfried Zaha, the London club are playing hard ball.

According to the morning press, Palace have refuted United`s opening offer and want something in the region of £15 million for the talented twenty year-old.

The South London club also want Zaha, if he does put pen-to-paper on a contract with Manchester United, to remain with them for the remainder of the season to boost their chances of promotion.

They don`t want much do they!

They own his contract so they have the right to demand whatever they like but if it gets excessive I'd sooner see the club walk away. I'd say the fee they want alone for a player who's predominately all potential and very raw and hasn't got any premier league experience is taking the mick alone let alone with loaning him back to them with that amount.

How about a 2 word reply - Andy Carroll?

I would say if Zaha flopped it would be more comparable to Obertan in terms of playing style or Bebe in terms of fee paid rather than Andy Carroll. What causes me concern is the fee, for the same amount with one or two mil on top you can buy yourself much more established stars with world class potential in the form of Isco or Benat. Different position to Zaha yeah but also far more value for money.
