Mourinho`s Coming!

Mourinho`s Coming!

The moment that the Champions League draw, for the first knock-out stages, paired us with Real Madrid, you always knew that the tie would be the subject of some major press coverage.

Now whilst there`s the small matter of some crucial domestic games to get out of the way first, domestic games that could go a long way to determining how the season is likely to pan out, the small matter of a double-header against Real Madrid (and Jose Mourinho) is already catching the media`s attention.

This weekend we face Liverpool in a crucial fixture and it appears that Mourinho will use the opportunity, to jet across Europe, to take a glimpse at the Manchester United of 2012/2013.

In fact, the 'Special One` has intimated that this will not be the only trip he`ll be making as he prepares his Real side to face united, in the tie of the round, remarking to the media,

"I have already told Sir Alex Ferguson I am coming."

"Manchester United against Liverpool - it is a great game."

"And I always want to see my opponents play live, I like to go there and see for myself."

"Hopefully before we play United, I will have time to see them three or four times."

"And I`m sure Sir Alex will do the same. He will come to watch us too."

It`ll be interesting to find out whether Jose and Sir Alex will meet up socially after the game, to share a bottle of wine, or whether that special bond they appear to have will be put on hold until after the two Champions League games.

Jose seems excited to be playing us and coming to watch us. Not sure how much he'll gather from the game though, how we'll play against Liverpool and how we'll play against Madrid will be two very different line-ups and performances I suspect.

Getting a good look at his future squad ;-) if you believe everything you read! It's just Mourinho being his usual self he's well know for researching his opponents throughly.

No doubt that's how the papers will see it MotorMad re checking out his future squad. For all his scouting his opponents its not working to well for his Madrid at the moment hopefully things won't change regarding that between now and the Madrid fixture. Still firmly believe he will succeed fergie when his gone for a short time though :P
