United Get Home Draw

United Get Home Draw

Following on from Robin Van Persie`s last gasp equaliser, at Upton Park, United were given a home draw in round four.

Providing we can overcome the challenge provided by West Ham United in the FA Cup 3rd round replay, United will take on the winners of the Fulham v Blackpool tie which ended 1-1 yesterday, at Craven Cottage.

We never do things the easy way in the FA Cup. It would be nice to win it this year seeing as, despite being the most successful club in the history of the competition, we haven't won it in a while. We've treated it with too much contempt in recent years. That said we've treated all tournaments other than the champions league and premier league with contempt in recent years, understandably there's a lot more money to be gained from focusing our energy on those tournaments. I know Fergie never a puts a squad out with the intention of losing but it would be nice to see a squad of the same strength to reflect the attitude.

Would love to see us win it this year it's been to long. But as they say don't count your chickens till there hatched. There's still the small matter of a replay and Fulham/Blackpool after that neither of which will be easy games. Play like we did last match we'll be lucky to get to the second game. Not to mention who will be waiting after that if we get through. Just have to keep the fingers crossed
