'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Three Weeks!

Absent from the squad of eighteen selected to do their duty for Manchester United yesterday, the name of Wayne Rooney was conspicuous by its absence.

As it turned out Wayne had picked up an injury in training, on Christmas Day, eliminating him from contention.

It appears that Wayne, during the aforementioned training session, tweaked a ligament with Sir Alex remarking, after the game, about his striker`s situation,

"Wayne has felt the ligament in the back of his knee in training - he`ll probably be out for two to three weeks. After his display against Swansea on Saturday I thought he`d be brilliant today. He was desperate to play."

Take-care Wayne we need you back fit and well to take back what is rightfully ours - the Premier League title.

It's a good thing we've got sufficient cover for his position then. Hernandez could play up top or, when they get back which must be very close now, Nani or Kagawa could play behind RVP.
