A Case of Deja-Vu?

A Case of Deja-Vu?

When the great Dane Peter Scmeichel moved on, we dabbled with several dodgy keepers before Edwin van Der Sar came to our rescue, are we now trapped in the same scenario?

Having signed David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard, you get the distinct impression that Sir Alex Ferguson is still a little uneasy with regards to the green jersey with neither keeper having grabbed the jersey on a permanent basis.

To that effect we keep getting linked with the signing of a new keeper with the latest in a long line being the current Sunderland keeper, Simon Mignolet.

With Mignolet in action at Old Trafford this afternoon, the inference being peddled is that Sir Alex will be taking a close look at the player to see if he is the cure to our perceived keeper ills.

Mignolet is a pretty solid keeper but De Gea has the potential to be so much better than him, I'd sooner see us persevere with De Gea.
