Walcott Interest?

Having already raided Arsenal for the talents of Robin Van Persie last summer, is Sir Alex set for another raid on North London?

The reason we ask is that newspaper speculation suggests that Sir Alex is viewing Theo Walcott`s uneasy contract situation with extreme interest.

Walcott`s contract runs out this summer and with Arsenal having offered the England international a take-it-or-leave-it offer, the indications are that the twenty-three year old might prefer to leave it.

We reckon this is definitely one rumour to keep an eye on!

So we'll get rid of one inconsistent winger and replace him with another. To be honest it wouldn't be the best career choice for Walcott if he wants to play football as Valencia is a far superior winger than he is. He'd be great for competition and also another fantastic impact sub but unless he adds consistency to his game he'll only go the same way as Nani. If Nani leaves then the right wing needs depth and competition added to it. However, priority for me would be the left wing if we were to buy a winger. Youngs that good competition and winger to add depth but is too inconsistent. Would personally like to see Kagawa distributed wide left though if Fergie doesn't seem him as a left winger it would be nice to get some real quality for the position.

I thought Kagawa was destined for the left wing when we bought him Famous but Fergie it's seems had other ideas. If we're looking at Walcott and Wenger wants Nani may as well just swap the pair of them not that there's much point both inconsistent. Plus Walcott is quite injury prone he could put his shoulder out opening a moderately heavy door

Then again I suppose another way to look at it is he's off the ball runs like Hernandez's will stretch the opposition allowing more space for Rooney and Van Persie to play in meaning we won't necessarily need to have hapernandez on the pitch to stretch the opposition. Heck, Hernandez and Walcott on the pitch would be a massive headache for opposition defences having to pick up the off the ball runs. All the same though, he won't get to play upfront like he wants and he's certainly not good enough to knock Valencia out of the team.
