More Sneijder Talk?

More Sneijder Talk?

Does anyone remember when United were, reportedly, interested in signing the Dutch midfield ace Wesley Sneijder?

To me it seems an age ago and so much water has gone under the bridge since then.

But, the rumour has refused to die completely with one news source suggesting, this morning; that United are still in the race to sign the 28 year-old but are likely to be disappointed with Sneijder more likely to leave Inter Milan and sign for AC Milan.

Personally, I`m not sure there`s an ounce of truth in any of it when it comes to our interest in a fading star, but you just never know!

Pretty much MotorMad. This was boring the first time round. He's a class act but I don't think he's got the build to be a united player. Fergie expects every player to give 100% and get from box to box all game every game, something Sneijder just isn't capable of he'd most probably be injured after one game. There's also the problem that Sneijder plays a very specialised role and can't be played as a general CM that we like to play. If there ever was any real interest I can't imagine it still being there now. Plus I thought Sneijder preferred the flits and glam of playing in a very boring and slow Serie A and Europa League. I'm open to the idea of him proving me wrong though.
