Dead in the Water!

Dead in the Water!

In the past few weeks there has been a touch of speculation linking Ryan Shawcross with a return to Old Trafford.

The centre-back, who left Old Trafford to go to Stoke, is a player who Sir Alex Ferguson has always intimated he regrets letting go.

However, if any sort of deal is to be done the odds of it being a smooth transaction have been hampered by the fact that Shawcross has just put pen-to-paper on the longest contract offered by Stoke City, something tells me this one is dead in the water.

Shame. Oh well there's plenty of other good CB's out there. It's refreshing to see players being loyal to their club these days buts its also a shame that he might end up regretting it in the future as he had the opportunity to win trophies.
